Kigali Innovation City project officially kicks off

The construction of the Kigali Innovation City has officially began after the government of Rwanda concluded negotiations with key project sponsors including BADEA and Africa50. This $300 million project is set to position Kigali as a regional innovation hub. CNBC Africa spoke to Ibrahima Cheikh Diong, Special Representative to the President of BADEA on the side-lines of the ground breaking ceremony.
