Can Nigeria sustain power generation increase?

Nigeria’s power generation hit a new 3-year high of 5,105 megawatts of electricity at the close of last month. That’s according to the Minister of Power who says the target is to achieve 6,000 megawatts by December. Meanwhile, data from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission shows power Subsidy rose 151 per cent to 633.3 billion naira in the first quarter of this year.
