Mpact FY HEPS plunge 30%, flags challenging operating environment

Mpact reported a 3.6 per cent increase in group revenue in the year to December, boosted by higher sales volumes, mainly boosted by higher sales in its paper business. However, profit for the year from continuing operations fell 26.7 per cent to R569.7 million, hit by high interest rates, cost inflation, load shedding and other service delivery failures negatively impacted consumer and business confidence.
