South Sudan to start pumping 90,000 B/D of oil on Jan 8, minister says

NAIROBI, Jan 7 (Reuters) – South Sudan to resume oil production at Blocks 3 and 7 on Jan 8 with initial output of 90,000 barrels per day, Petroleum Minister Puot Kang Chol said on Tuesday.

The government has an arrangement with Petronas to pay off its shares until it finds a new partner to replace the Malaysian producer, Chol said. (Reporting by George Obulutsa; Editing by Elisha Bala-Gbogbo)
