SA mining production down 7.5% y/y

The South African mining industry is facing significant challenges despite an improvement in commodity prices. Mining production in the country has fallen by 7.5 per cent year on year, marking the fourth consecutive month of contraction. Henk Langenhoven, Chief Economist at Minerals Council South Africa, joined CNBC Africa to discuss the economic impacts of this decline.
