Africa begins PAPSS for cross border transactions

The African Export-Import Bank and the AfCFTA Secretariat have announced the launch of the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System to enable instant, cross-border payments in local currencies between African markets. The initiative is a revolutionary Financial Market Infrastructure that would simplify and reduce dependency on hard currencies. Mike Ogbalu, CEO of PAPSS, joins CNBC Africa for more.
