SA financial assets buck global trend, expand by 1.7%

Global household wealth has fallen by the most since the global financial crisis of 2008, according to the latest Alliance Global Wealth Report. The value of financial assets dropped by 2.7 per cent or EUR 6.6 trillion to EUR 233 trillion at the end of 2022. Household wealth in South Africa, however, bucked the global trend and continue to grow by 1.7 per cent.
