Addressing Nigeria’s rising food insecurity

The International Monetary Fund says Nigeria needs to address rising food insecurity as about 8 per cent of Nigerians are food insecure. Meanwhile, the government says it will commence the distribution of 42,000 metric tons of grains this week across the 36 states.
