Exploring Nigerian banks’ recapitalisation strategies

As banks race to meet the 30th of April deadline given by the Central Bank of Nigeria to submit their recapitalisation plans, some banks have begun moves to get shareholders’ approval to raise additional capital. Meanwhile, First Bank of Nigeria has appointed Olusegun Alebiosu as its acting managing director with immediate effect following the resignation of the bank’s Managing Director/Chief Executive, Adesola Adeduntan.
