IMF welcomes Nigeria’s bold reforms

The IMF Executive Board has concluded its 2024 Article four consultation with Nigeria. The IMF welcomed Nigeria’s reforms by the new administration and commends the focus on revenue mobilization, governance, social safety nets, and upgrading policy frameworks. In view of the downside risks, the Bretton Woods Institution stressed the importance of well-sequenced and communicated reforms to restore macroeconomic stability.
