What Nigeria's Data Protection Bill aims to address

Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari is seeking the consideration and approval of parliament to pass the Nigerian Data Protection Bill. This comes as tech giants, google and Apple have launched data deletion policies for apps. Meanwhile, the Nigerian government has barred loan apps from accessing their users’ contacts or photos as part of efforts to curb the invasion of privacy. Chukwuemeka Ujam, an ICT Security Expert and Government Policy Affairs Advocate, joins CNBC Africa to discuss these developments.
